How rankings are assigned
Rankings are based on published scoring criteria, public evidence, product fit, and editorial judgement. A provider can rank highly for one use case, such as streaming or many-device value, while ranking lower for privacy-purist use.
Provider links
Provider links are currently plain outbound links marked nofollow. If sponsored or affiliate links are introduced later, they will be disclosed near purchase buttons and on the affiliate disclosure page before going live. Link status never guarantees inclusion or ranking, and pages keep commercial context visible with pricing caveats and renewal warnings.
Corrections and updates
If a price, refund term, audit claim, server count, ownership note, or feature changes, we update the relevant page after reviewing a source we can verify. Material changes should be reflected in the page update date.
Editorial bylines and privacy
Articles may use privacy-preserving bylines so readers can understand the review lens without requiring the site operator or contributors to publish legal names, personal photos, home network details, or travel patterns. The byline names and profile images are editorial identifiers, not identity disclosure.
The underlying experience is real: reviews can draw from actual VPN use, travel, public Wi-Fi, home lab remote access, privacy practice, and paid customer testing where a page says that work has been completed. We do not invent credentials, lab results, provider relationships, or personal stories that did not happen.
The site operator remains responsible for the review, corrections, link disclosure, and evidence standard behind each privacy-preserving byline.
Provider feedback
Providers can submit corrections and documentation. They do not get final approval over verdicts, caveats, comparison language, or rankings.
